A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between India Meteorological Department (IMD) and ITC, Limited, Agribusiness Div., Guntur on 16th Oct. 2024. Dr. M. Mohapatra (DGM, IMD) and Sh. Rahul Gouraha (Vice President-ITCMAARS, Agribusiness Division), signed the MoU on behalf of the two organizations in the presence of senior officials from both the organizations. The MoU aims to collaborate on disseminating weather and climate information, as well as agromet advisories, to 2 million farmers registered with ITCMAARS' digital platform.

Farmers awareness cum Training programme on weather based Agromet Advisory Services conducted on 30.07.2024 at Agricultural Research station, Kovilpatti for the farmers of Kovilpatti block and Vilathikulam block, Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu.
IMD signs LoA with Green Alerts Web Portal to provide weather forecast and farm based weather advisories to farmers at block level. One of the many steps taken by IMD to help farmers!!
